The best way to describe Maggie is a livewire, she is a full on fun loving dog who brings a smile to everyone she meets. She is doing brilliantly in foster and has settled in well. She loves other dogs and will try and play with any that she meets so a playful companion or two would suit her well. She also loves playing with toys either by herself or playing fetch or tug with a person.
An active home is definitely a must for Maggie with good interesting walks to wear her out, she is currently being walked on a longline at the park as her recall isn’t great although we are working in this. Maggie is very easily distracted by scents or rustling bushes, birds etc when out and about and just wants to explore everything. Training classes would be greatly beneficial and fun to Maggie as would agility classes. She is a fast runner and likes jump so would probably excel at agility. She is great with people once she has got to know them and enjoys a fuss and a lap to relax on when shes tired. She likes her crate and jumps straight in when you say bed although i don’t think she would say no to sleeping on your bed.
Although very small Maggie is energetic and would be best suited to an active home where she will receive interesting and varied walks, she is Not a lap dog. Maggie can be homed with older teenagers who understand she will take a little time to trust. She is currently on foster in Rayleigh Essex.
