Bonnie is a sweet older girl who is looking for an understanding quiet home. Bonnie is quite timid and will need time to be able to settle in to her new home. Her new owners will have to patient with her, however once she is happy and comfortable in her new surroundings she will make a lovely companion. Bonnie can be nervous around strangers and as she is cute people want to pet her. Unfortunately as she can be nervous of strangers she has found herself having to tell them that she is uncomfortable by snapping at them however Bonnie has never bitten before. Bonnie has not had very much experience around children and due to her nervous nature we will not re-home Bonnie where children are present or where they visit regularly.
Bonnie is okay with other dogs, as long as they give her plenty of space. After a few positive meetings Bonnie does make friends with other dogs, Unfortunately we will not place Bonnie in a home where there are dogs, however we will consider homes that have dog savvy cats. Bonnie is happy to be left alone for short periods at a time, she settles well and is not destructive. Bonnie will bark when the doorbell goes but will settle quickly. She enjoys when visitors she knows comes to the house. She will greet them by bringing a toy and trying to initiate a game with them, her favourite game is playing with a ball. Bonnie is great in the car and is happy for you to pick her up to put her in the car. Bonnie can occasionally pull when walking on the lead, and is great off lead in a secure area. She will come back when you shout on her. Bonnie will need regular trips to the groomers for a haircut as her coat will keep growing. Despite Bonnie being 10 years old, she still loves going for her 3 daily walks.
Bonnie is full of love and fun and will make a great addition to the family. Can you offer this sweet girl the time and patience she requires to help her settle into a new home?
