Phoebe is a 4 1/2 month old female Shih Tzu cross Bichon Frise. She came into us due to serious illness in her first family. This little dog is absolutely delightful. Already virtually house trained. She walks on lead, has a pretty good recall, but does get a little distracted at times. She travels very well in the car. She is child friendly, adores other dogs, especially bigger ones, and loves to play rough tough and boisterous games with them.
Phoebe is a proper dog, she isn’t a handbag dog at all and loves to have fun in the wet and mud. She also loves cats too, but would really like to play, hence could be a bit much for a timid or elderly cat. Phoebe is very bright, and very active, she would not be suitable as an old person’s companion, nor in a family with small children.
Phoebe is sound sensitive and inclined to bark at noises she can’t identify, or that excite her, so best in a home without paper-thin walls and close neighbours, to avoid conflict whilst she learns more appropriate behaviours. She needs someone who can concentrate on her, provide plenty of stimulation and guidance while developing her character. She would make a fantastic agility dog, perhaps an agility families’ teenagers first dog?
She would also enjoy, and excel at tricks like dancing with her owner.
