Max is a 6 year old male Shih Tzu cross Jack Russell Cross. He came into our care along with another dog,Bailey, from a member of the public. Their circumstances at home changed and his previous owners felt they were no longer able to give the dogs the time and commitment that they need.
Max is very sweet but he is shy and nervous among strangers initially .He is very much a dog that needs space and must be allowed to come to you on his own terms and when he is ready . He can be independent but once he gets to know you , he actually enjoys a good fuss and is an affectionate boy. He simply loves having his back scratched .
Max loves his walks and is good on the lead. He needs an understanding owner who will give him time to adjust to them as well as his new surroundings. Max could live with children of secondary school age but is not to be rehomed with other dogs or cats.
